Terms of Service

Last updated 3 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Statusbeat for your use of Statusbeat. By creating an account you agree to them, to the Acceptable Use Policy, and that you are at least 13.

The service

Statusbeat checks websites, APIs, and Discord bots you choose, alerts you when they go down, and lets you publish status pages. It is free. To keep it fair and sustainable, accounts have usage limits, which we may adjust.

Your account

  • You sign in with Discord or GitHub, and you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Keep your monitor tokens and API keys secret. Rotate or revoke them if they leak.
  • If you invite teammates to a project, they can see and, depending on their role, change that project.

What you may monitor

Only monitor services you own or have permission to monitor. The Acceptable Use Policy sets out what is not allowed. We may pause monitors, take down status pages, or suspend accounts that break it, and we may block checks to any host to protect it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into Statusbeat, such as incident updates and status page text. You let us store, display, and deliver it as needed to run the service, including posting it to the Discord channels you choose.

No guarantee of availability

We work to keep Statusbeat accurate and running, but it is provided as is. Checks can be delayed or wrong, and alerts can fail to arrive. Do not rely on Statusbeat as your only safeguard for anything critical.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Statusbeat is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Statusbeat. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and will tell you why unless the law or an ongoing investigation prevents it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the dashboard before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction].
