Discord alerts
Pick a channel in your Discord server and Statusbeat keeps it up to date. You choose what gets posted there.
- In your project, open Destinations and choose Add to Discord.
- Discord asks which server to add the Statusbeat bot to. You need to be able to manage that server.
- Back in Statusbeat, pick a channel. You'll only see channels the bot can post in.
- Choose what gets posted there, check the preview, and save.
What it looks like
One message that always shows the current status.
- A live status message in the #status channel lists Website, API, and Music bot, all online.
- Music bot goes offline. The same message is edited: Music bot now shows Offline and the embed turns red.
- A new message is posted: Music bot is offline.
- An incident update is posted: Music playback is down, investigating.
- Music bot recovers. The live message turns green again and a message says Music bot is back online.
The live status message
One message that always shows the current status of everything you watch. The bot updates it instead of posting new messages, so your channel never fills up. Pin it so it's easy to find.
If someone deletes it, the bot posts a fresh one.

If the bot loses access
If the bot is kicked, the channel is deleted, or the bot loses permission to post, your dashboard shows the problem in red and tells you how to fix it. Usually that just means picking a channel again.
